The UNC Charlotte IDEAS Center invited UNC System-wide Sustainability leaders from around the State to learn how a Sustainability Alliance can be implemented within the UNC system.
The Sustainability Alliance group convened at the Energy Production Infrastructure Center (EPIC) on UNC Charlotte’s campus. The group was welcomed by Beth Hardin, Vice Chancellor for Business Affairs, and Phil Jones, Associate Vice Chancellor for Facilities Management.
IDEAS Center Associates presented an overview of their sustainability research and collaborative partnerships. Participants discussed their “Hot Topic” concerns and included topics such as best practices and initiatives for sustainability, green student fees, internship programs, regulations/legislation, and more. EPIC LEED certified “Gold” building tours were optional at end of meeting.
